My Fishing Assistant is a mobile fishing-log application under development. This page explains the current account and data features; it is not an announcement of public availability.
Your fishing journal
The app stores account information and the fishing records you save, including waypoint and catch coordinates, notes, catch details, and available environmental snapshots. Saved waypoints and catches are associated with your signed-in account.
Account security and email
Passwords are stored as hashes, not readable passwords. The app sends account-created, verification, confirmation, password-reset, and password-change messages in response to account activity. Amazon SES delivers these messages; Microsoft 365 hosts our contact mailbox.
Maps and environmental information
Charts and environmental information come from external providers. Catch coordinates may be sent to weather and observation providers to retrieve conditions. Nearby observations and modeled data are not measurements at your exact fishing spot, and coverage varies. Charts and bathymetric overlays in this development app are not a substitute for navigation equipment or official navigation guidance.
